Tempeh Culinary Experience at Bollywood Veggies
Come 6 October, we’ll be collaborating with Bollywood Veggies for a tempeh workshop, led by culinary presenter Mary Ho.
This 3.5 hour session will include a tempeh-making lesson and a collaborative cooking demonstration to make two dishes: Opor Tempeh, a Central Javanese coconut-based curry dish and stir-fried tempeh with Thai basil and lemongrass.
Participants will get to bring home, their own handmade tempeh, a pack of tempeh starter and a copy of Pauline Menezes’ Tempted by Tempeh, which retails for SGD 28.00.

Here are the day’s proceedings:
10.00am – Arrival and welcome
10.15am – Short walk in Bollywood Veggies’ Aromatic Garden
10.30am – Introduction on regional superfood — tempeh. Participants will learn how to make their own tempeh and get to bring it home.
11.15am – Tempeh cooking demonstration and collaborative cooking to make Opor Tempeh (Central Javanese coconut based curry dish) and Stir-fried tempeh (with Thai basil and lemongrass).
12.45pm – Communal lunch and book signing.
1.30pm – End
